If you ever feel like you're being tested...

I wrote a post on Thursday about how my car had been smashed outside my house and I was able to choose the good and the gratitude in the situation and carry on with my day. (pretty pleased with myself).

So yesterday - the very NEXT day - the universe decided to TEST my resolve.

I was driving from town in my husband's car on my way to the 3pm pick up of my son from school. I was cutting it fine as it was 2:40pm.

I GOT A FLAT TYRE. In a split second I had to CHOOSE how I was going feel and react. And what I chose had an unexpectedly amazing result...

I pulled over and called my husband (we made a plan that involved him driving to me in the hire car from Thursday's issue, swapping car seats to get to the school, then coming back to change the tyre).

As I sat there waiting, I decided to embrace this 10 minutes to myself. Some spontaneous rest in the middle of the afternoon that I couldn't refuse! As it happens I read an article about having a positive mindset (!).

As my husband pulled up behind me, a tyre company man in a van (Jeffrey's Performance Tyres) pulled up in front of me. 'How on earth did he arrange that so fast?' I wondered.

He didn't! The tyre man happened to have gone past me IMMEDIATELY AFTER IT HAPPENED, and he went all the way back round the one-way system to come back and rescue me. In traffic on a Friday afternoon. Simply out of kindness.

Within minutes he'd popped on the spare and I was on my way. I was so full of gratitude I was actually laughing out loud like a loony all the way to the school.

Mindset work is so fascinating. The thoughts and vibes you put out there really do manifest in physical reality. The more I see it in my own life and in the women I work with the more in awe I am.

So if you ever feel like you're being tested by life (or your children, or partner, or job etc) - EXPERIMENT with how you choose to feel and see what happens...

Would love to hear any stories of your own too xx
